In preparation for the upcoming International Conference on Harmful Algae (ICHA2025) in Punta Arenas, Chile, we are very pleased to announce one of the most traditional and fun events organized during the conference: the ICHA AUCTION!!

Throughout the years, the International Society for the Study of Harmful Algae (ISSHA) has successfully promoted this important event in order to raise funds that are mainly converted into Travel Awards for the following conference. With this support, tens of students and researchers from underrepresented countries have been able to attend ICHA every two years, strengthening our rich and diverse community. The ICHA AUCTION has been only successful thanks to generous donations of items and the aggressive – yet heartfelt – bids of those who wish to take a nice souvenir back home.

Therefore, we kindly ask you to contribute by donating special items for the Auction. That may include art crafts (HAB-related or not), books, traditional food, beverage or clothes from your own region, or anything attractive enough to skyrocket our bids!

If you bring the items with you, you may leave them at the front desk during ICHA2025 registration process. Alternatively, you may choose to send them in advance by mail. If so, please use the following address:
